Built-In Wall Units in Toronto
A built-in wall unit is the piece a Toronto living room organises itself around — and in a city of tight condos and character houses, it has to do more than store things. It has to anchor the room and disappear into the architecture at the same time. Panda Reno designs, mills and finishes built-in wall units for Toronto homes entirely in our own shop.
We have built media walls, fireplace surrounds, floating units and library built-ins across Toronto since 2018 — for downtown condos where every inch counts and for detached homes with room for a full feature wall. Whatever the space, the unit is made to your exact dimensions rather than assembled from catalogue boxes.

Why Panda Reno in Toronto
Built-ins that suit Toronto living
In condos and smaller downtown homes, a floating wall unit keeps the floor clear and the room feeling larger, with concealed wire management and integrated storage that hides the everyday clutter. In detached and semi-detached houses across midtown and the west end, there is room for a full media wall or a library of shelving flanking a fireplace.
We design to the whole wall — floor to ceiling, wall to wall — so the proportions feel deliberate and genuinely built-in, working around your television, components, radiators and bulkheads rather than ignoring them.
Light, depth and concealed technology
The difference between a flat bank of shelving and a wall that feels alive is usually lighting. Back-lit niches, warm LED along the shelves and concealed strip lighting give a built-in depth and drama, especially at night. We conceal wiring, cable runs and — where needed — venting and speakers, so the technology serves the room without cluttering it.
Mixed materials add the finishing character: a stone or cast mantel, fluted or slatted panels, glass-front display cabinets and push-to-open lowers that keep media components out of sight.
Made and installed in-house since 2018
Every Toronto wall unit runs through our in-house process — design and 3D drawings, milling of solid wood, veneer or painted panel to the millimetre, and hand-finishing in a controlled booth. On site, we scribe to the floor, walls and ceiling so the finished piece sits tight and true, with no filler strips to give the game away.
Because one team designs, builds and installs the unit, it reads as part of the house rather than furniture pushed against a wall.
From media walls to home offices
Beyond living-room media walls, we build home-office and library built-ins, display and storage walls, and fireplace surrounds — all to the same standard. In a work-from-home city, a considered built-in office wall has become one of our most requested pieces, with concealed storage, integrated lighting and a surface that looks like architecture rather than flat-pack furniture.
Toronto's tight spaces reward this kind of built-in thinking more than almost anywhere. A well-designed wall unit reclaims the awkward gaps a room throws up — the space beside a chimney breast, the run under a window, the shallow wall a freestanding piece could never use — and turns them into storage and display that feel intentional. In a condo, that can be the difference between a cluttered living room and a calm one.
And because the unit is milled, finished and installed by the same team, the result is consistent from the concealed cable channels you never see to the fronts you touch daily. It is architecture, not furniture — designed for your wall, in your Toronto home, and built to stay.

Questions
Wall Units & Millwork in Toronto.
Do you build wall units for Toronto condos as well as houses?
Yes. Floating, space-saving units for condos where the floor needs to stay clear, and full floor-to-ceiling media walls and library built-ins for houses. We plan delivery, elevator booking and install around your building.
Can you build around my existing fireplace and TV?
Yes — we design the unit around your fireplace, television and components, concealing wiring and, where needed, venting so the technology disappears into the wall.
Do your wall units include lighting?
Most do — warm, dimmable LED in niches and along shelves, plus back-lighting where it suits the design. It's discreet and built in from the start.
Will the unit look genuinely built-in?
That's the point. We build to the full dimensions of the wall and scribe to the floor, walls and ceiling on site, so there are no gaps or filler strips — the unit reads as architecture.
Do you build home-office and library built-ins too?
Yes — home-office walls, library shelving, display and storage built-ins and fireplace surrounds, all made and installed in-house to the same standard as our media walls.
Do you offer a free consultation in Toronto?
Yes — a free in-home consultation across Toronto. We measure, talk through how you use the room, and come back with a design and an honest range.
How long does a built-in wall unit take in Toronto?
Most wall units run around 4–8 weeks from approved drawings to installation, depending on size, materials and complexity. We confirm a schedule before we start building.
Can you build a wall unit that hides the TV and components?
Yes — we can integrate pocket or bi-fold doors, concealed component bays and full cable management so the television and electronics disappear when they're not in use.
